Donald G. Clement Jr., 87, of Ludlow, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late Donald G. and Luna (Spinks) Clement, he was born in Quincy, MA on November 26, 1934. A graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, PA, Don went on to proudly serve his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Army after 20 years of service and worked as Operations Manager for the U.S. Postal Service. Don was a devout communicant of Christ the King Church.
Don enjoyed being with his family, boating along the CT River, being around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, taking day trips with Angela exploring adventures and making many memorable memories.
Don is survived by his two children Donald G. Clement III and his wife Anne of Melbourne, FL and Noreen Mackintosh of Melbourne, FL, formerly of Ludlow, MA; two sisters Carol Avila of Palm Springs, CA and Noreen Cosgrove of Quincy, MA. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren Danielle, Patty and her husband Luis Rodriguez, Ashley and her husband Andrew Preman, Angaela, Zachary and 5 great-grandchildren Sean, Xavier, Myles, Anthony and Alexander and his loving cat Old Man. Sadly, he was predeceased by his wife Angela Clement in 2016.
Visiting hours for Don will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 9:00-10:00 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by a service at 10:00 AM. Rites of Committal with Military Honors will be in Island Pond Cemetery, Center St., Ludlow, MA. Don’s family requests in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory be made to the National Pancreas Foundation at Pancreasfoundation.org.
