Obituary

Our beloved Mom, Nana, Vovo and Veva, Dolores (Rodrigues) Hirt-Supernaw, gained her angel wings on Friday, January 3, 2025. Born in Ludlow on November 23, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Conceicao Rodrigues. A graduate of Ludlow High School, Dolores was employed by Dr. Walter Pacosa for many years as well as Kings and KMart Department Stores. She was a member of the Wilbraham and Ludlow Senior Centers and the Golden Agers. Dolores was a member of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Parish and later St. Elizabeth’s Parish and a member of their Woman’s Club.

Dolores is survived by her children Richard Hirt (Kathy) of Chicopee, Bonnie Harder (Peter) of Ware, Debbie Dias (Joey) of Ludlow and Claudia Balderelli of Southbridge as well as her 10 beloved grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Sadly, she was predeceased by her first husband Arthur Hirt Jr. in 1970; her second husband Kenneth Supernaw in 2008 and her siblings Catilda, Joseph, Jesse, Armenio, Larry and Limpio Rodrigues.

Dolores was a most caring, kind and compassionate person to not only her family, but to everyone. Remember to Keep Smiling.

Funeral services for Dolores will be Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish, 181 Hubbard St, Ludlow, MA. Burial will be in St, Aloysius Cemetery, Berkshire Ave, Springfield, MA. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Donations in Dolores’ memory may be made to the Friends of the Ludlow Senior Center, 228 State St., Ludlow, MA 01056,

I am very sorry for your loss. I have many great memories of spending part of the summers at Delores’s house with my cousins. I still remember her incredible devil dogs. She touched many hearts and will be missed by many. Love, Cousin Debbie xo
