Obituary

David Henriques Sr, 59, of Ludlow, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026. Born September 21, 1966, he was the son of Joaquim “Jack” Henriques and Beverly (Walczak) Henriques. David attended Chicopee High School and was the owner of Best Floor Sanding Co.

In addition to his parents, David is survived by his wife Shelly (Dascanio) Henriques; his sons David Henriques Jr. (Lauren Bouley) and Kevin Henriques; his brother Michael Henriques and his sister Sharon Haley (Mark). He also leaves his nieces and nephews Jeffrey and Nicole Batakis, Timothy Henriques and Danielle Jones (Matt); his mother-in-law Karen Pack; father-in-law James Dascanio; sister-in-law Kelly Dyl (Eric) and niece Cora, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. David loved his family and friends. He was known to talk to anyone he came in contact with. His love for his family, friends, the beach and music is how he will always be remembered. He will be missed dearly.

Visiting hours for David will be Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family.

Not really an event I posted already on legacy about my dear friend . But I was only allowed to upload one photo .. I always took picture inside his yellow van .. again he was like an uncle to me . Even did my parents house floors perfect … He will be dearly missed

So sorry about Davids passing. David used to park in my yard to go to The Big E, he would always have a treat and a smile for me when he came back, one night I was asleep when he returned, he banged on the door until I woke up to give me a fried dough with a big smile. very nice guy! It was a pleasure to know him, he will be missed. Joe B
