Clara G. (Turrini) LaMotte, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield, MA on August 13, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Marianna (Speri) Turrini. She worked for Northeast Technical Services and Deponte’s Farm as well as a loving mother to her four children. A longtime Ludlow resident, she was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Parish in Ludlow. Clara loved the outdoors and gardening. She enjoyed sitting on her porch among all her beautiful flowers and watching all the birds and animals. She enjoyed all the many pets she rescued throughout her life. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Sadly she was predeceased by her loving husband William “Billy” LaMotte in 2005 ,who she missed dearly, as well as her brothers Rino Turrini and Albert Turrini.
Clara is survived by her children Cindy Bobowiec and her husband Marty of Ludlow; Deborah Venne and her husband Francis of Granby; David LaMotte of Ware; Kim Batista and her husband Kenneth of Ludlow; and her sister Mary Matthews of Pensacola, FL. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren Cory, Jaclyn, Kelly, Tom, Kirsten and Erik, as well as her great-grandchildren Logan, Brianna, Madelyn, Giuseppe and Michael. She also leaves her brother-in-law Richard LaMotte and sisters-in-law Marcella Waldron, Bernice LaMotte and Lynn LaMotte as well as many nieces and nephews.
Clara’s family would like to thank her caregivers Linda and Anna for the wonderful care provided to her.
Clara will always be “Forever in our hearts and in our lives.”
Family and friends are invited to gather for Clara’s funeral Mass on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish, Hubbard St., Ludlow, MA. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Masks, social distancing and all state gathering restrictions will be adhered to. In lieu of flowers, donations in Clara’s memory may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA 01104 or Beacon Hospice Care, Amedisys Foundation 3854 American Way, Suite A, Baton Rouge, LA 70816 or www.amedisys.com/about/foundation.
