She was born to Eva (Couture) and Leo Langevin June 21, 1930. Although her death was unexpected, she was surrounded by her family as she entered quietly into eternal life. Claire was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Ludlow. She was an active member of the parish Ladies of St. Anne Society. She was well known for her involvement in the French Meat Pie project which her mother and aunt had initiated over 30 years ago, and is still going strong. She and her sister enjoyed reaching out to those in need by feeding the homeless. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 43 years, Jack Germain, in 1996. She was, as many of you know, the Matriarch of 10 children and their families who will miss her dearly. Claire was a loving Grandmother of 17 and a Great Grandmother of 4, with another one on the way. She was very close to all her Grandchildren and enjoyed their visits. She lived an active life and will be truly missed by her best friend and sister, Jeannette Nolan and her brother-in-law Paul , both who shared her love to travel. Claire also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who brought her great happiness. Claire received God’s call while enjoying one of her simplest pleasures, leisure time at her summer cottage in Sturbridge, MA.
