Charlotte W. (White) Bowles, 97, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 23, 2018. She was affectionately called Dolly. Daughter of the late R. Samuel and Rachel (Frost) White, she was born March 22, 1921. Dolly was a talented floral designer and worked as a florist for many years. She was a lifelong member of First Church in Ludlow where she served on many boards and committees. Dolly loved spending time with her family and was instrumental in hosting and planning many family gatherings and parties. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, gardener and bird watcher.
Dolly is survived by her children Peggy Bowles, Barbara Dunbar and her husband Earl and Linda Thibault, all of Ludlow, her grandchildren Kevin and Wendy and her great-grandchildren Jacob and Matthew as well as many nieces and nephews. Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband Walter Bowles in 2014 and her siblings Millard, Lloyd, Rutherford, Helen, James, Gerald, Rolland, Eunice and Olin.
Funeral services for Dolly will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM at First Church in Ludlow, 859 Center St., Ludlow, MA. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, Center St., Ludlow, MA. Visiting hours at the church will precede the service from 10:00-11:00 AM. Donations in Charlotte’s memory may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104 or First Church in Ludlow, 859 Center St., Ludlow, MA 01056.

I never knew meant you Charlotte but I am told you were loved by all who knew you. Your dear daughter, Peggy is one of the most sweetest and caring ladies I know and you raised her. This is how I know you must have been dearly loved and a wonderful women. One day we will meet you when God calls us home. But for now you will be dearly missed here. My deepest sympathy for Peggy and the family may God comfort your hearts in knowing your loved one lives on in paradise and one day you will see her again. She is not dead, she is just away.
