Cecile F. (Targonski) Sagan

Cecile F. (Targonski) Sagan, 97, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2020.  Born in Springfield, MA on April 8, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John and Alexandria (Raczkowski) Targonski.  Educated in local schools she worked as a machine operator for U.S. Envelope/Westvaco for over 39 years.  Cecile was a devout communicant of Christ the King Parish in Ludlow.  She was an active member of the Ludlow Senior Center and Golden Agers.

Cecile is survived by her 2 sons Alan Sagan and his wife Lorraine of Ludlow and John Sagan and his wife Ellen of Springfield; her sister Carol Pack of Westfield.  She also leaves her 4 beloved grandchildren Paul, John, Michael and Jeanne as well as her 4 great-grandchildren.  Sadly she was predeceased by her husband Peter Sagan in 1997 and 5 brothers and sisters.

Cecile’s family would like to thank the staff at Life Care Center of Wilbraham for the excellent care provided to her.

Visiting hours for Cecile will be Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 8:30-9:30 AM AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church. Burial will be in Island Pond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Cecile’s family asks that donations be made to Christ the King Church, 41 Warsaw Ave., Ludlow, MA 01056 or the Friends of the Ludlow Senior Center, 37 Chestnut St., Ludlow, MA 01056.
