Carol Lee (Goodreau) Morrissette

Carol Lee (Goodreau) Morrissette, 83, of West Springfield, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025. Carol was born on May 10, 1942 to the late Beatrice (Bousquet) and Joseph Goodreau. She was the ninth of fifteen children and loved her siblings deeply. After graduating from Ludlow High School in 1960, she went on to marry, start a family and career.

Carol was talented and adventurous in many aspects of her life. She was a master card player, avid traveler and an amazing cook. An avid sports fan, she especially loved supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loyal employee of Dow Jones for 33 years, making many lifelong friends. Upon retirement in 2002 she enjoyed going to the casino, making puzzles and playing cards with family and friends. Family was her greatest achievement. She selflessly dedicated herself to caring for and raising her children and grandchildren.

Carol is survived and missed by her loving children Lori Morrissette and partner Joseph McKenna and Lisa Grenier and her husband Mark. She will be forever cherished and remembered by her 4 grandchildren Shannan, Kaila, Ashley, Danielle and their spouses, as well as her 7 great-grandchildren Devin, Ethan, Bridget, Ariel, Aiden, Jaxon and Norah. She lives on in the memory of her siblings Joanne, Janice, Donna, Gale, Renee, Wayne and their families. She also leaves countless nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. In addition, Carol was predeceased by her brothers Ronnie, Richard, Dennis and Robert and her sisters Sharon, Joyce, Arlene and Judy and her grandson Justin.

Carol’s family would like to thank the staff of Baystate Hospice, Associated Home Care and especially Myrtle and Debi Garcia for the loving care they provided.

Visiting hours for Carol will be Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 10:30 AM-12:00 Noon at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St. Ludlow, MA. A funeral home service will follow at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
