Bernard T. “Tom” Pichey, 81, passed into eternal life on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Son of the late Bernard P. and Marion (Ainsworth) Pichey, he was born in Lockport, NY on August 12, 1943. Tom moved to West Springfield, MA in 1956 and was a 1961 graduate of Cathedral High School. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He went on to work in sales for American Tool for many years until his retirement in 2008. Tom was a devout communicant of Christ the King Parish, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, President of the Men’s Guild and Chairman of the Parish’s picnic for many years. He was a lifelong N.Y. Yankees fan and enjoyed playing cards and pool at the Ludlow Senior Center. Tom loved animals, especially his cats.
Tom is survived by his wife of 53 years Charlotte (Wrona) Pichey; his daughters Karen Camp (William) of New Bern, NC and Ellen Pichey of Ludlow and his grandsons David and Jason Camp. He also leaves his brother-in-law Raymond Wrona (Brenda) as well as his nieces and nephew.

Visiting hours for Tom will be Monday, July 14, 2025 from 9:00-10:15 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00AM in Christ the King Church, Warsaw, Ave, Ludlow, MA. Rites of Committal with Military Honors will be in Island Pond Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in Tom’s memory may be made to Dakin Humane Society, P.O.
