Beatrice (Berrouard) Pires 82 of Ludlow died Thursday, September 6, 2012, in the care and comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Detroit, MI January 4, 1930, daughter of the late Jerome and Florence (Beaudet) Berrouard. Beatrice was a Communicant of the Catholic Community of St. Elizabeth, and had worked for Eastern Etchings for many years. She loved crafts, baking and camping with her family. She also cherished board and computer games, and loved to laugh. She was the wonderful wife of 63 years to Alphonse Pires. She is survived by her children, Beatrice A. Roberts and her husband David of Ludlow, Larry Pires and his wife Barbara of Chester, MA, Anthony Tony Pires and his wife Eva of Belchertown, MA, and Mark A. Pires and his wife Marie of Westfield, MA. Grandmother of Melissa, Tammy, Tony, Christina, Denise, Mark and Ryan. Great-grandmother of 11. Also survived by extended family members and friends. Sadly she was predeceased by her siblings Joseph Berrouard, Lorraine Boyster, Theresa Glod. He family wishes to thank Vivian and Eileen and the entire Mercy Hospice staff.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be Saturday, September 8, 2012, at 9:30 from the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial offered by the Catholic Community of St. Elizabeth in St. John the Baptist Church 181 Hubbard St. Ludlow Msgr. Homer P. Gosselin will preside. Rites of Committal will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
