Anne Marie (Czub) Kiel, 68, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2020. Born in Palmer on June 19, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Veronica (Gondek) Czub. Anne Marie was a graduate of Ludlow High School and Westfield State College. She began her teaching career in Three Rivers at St. Anne’s School, then was a teacher/librarian at East St. and Veteran’s Park Elementary Schools for over 20 years. Working with children was Anne Marie’s greatest joy; she was a talented author and artist, publishing The Pet in my Pocket in 2018. She was a devout member of Christ the King Church, a member of the parish’s Ladies’ Guild and St. Anne Sodality, and a past President of the Veteran’s Park PTO. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, sister and friend.
Anne Marie is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Walter Kiel Jr. of Ludlow; two sons Adam Kiel and his partner Tracie of Milford, MA; Todd Kiel and his wife Jennifer of Bolton, VT; her sister Barbara Gill of Kittery, ME and her daughters Katie and Carly, as well as several nephews.
A memorial Mass celebrating Anne Marie’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne Marie’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Mass/NH, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472 or www.alz.org or Christ the King Church, 41 Warsaw Ave., Ludlow, MA 01056.

Anne Marie was a force to be reckoned with. She loved life. Her laughter was infectious, her baking delicious, and love for her family and friends was so deep and caring. I had the pleasure of working with Anne Marie for many years at Vets Park. My love and prayers go out to all of her family and friends. RIP my friend❤️
Anne Marie was a nice person. Always kind and pleasant. She always made me feel comfortable in the library at Vets Park when I waited for my son to do his speech therapy. May she rest in peace in God’s loving care.
