Ada P. (Casagranda) Lopenzo, 92, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully at home on December 4, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Giuseppe and Palmina (Giovanelli), she was born in Ludlow on June, 8, 1926. Educated in local schools, she worked as a hairdresser for many years. Ada spent her retired years enjoying time with her family and her true passion, playing Bingo with friends and family. She was a communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Ludlow, and later St. Cecilia’s Parish in Wilbraham.
Ada is survived by her daughter Lena and her husband Wayne Davis of Ludlow, a brother James Casagranda and his wife Anna May of Ludlow, a sister Nancy Pinkston of Naperville, IL and her granddaughter Melissa Davis and her fiancé Jason Thouin of Monson. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Sadly she was predeceased by her husband Fiore Lopenzo.
Family and friends are asked to gather for a Liturgy of Christian Burial for Ada on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 9:00 AM in St. Cecilia’s Parish, 42 Main St., Wilbraham, MA. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers and gifts, Donations in Ada’s memory may be made to Baystate VNA and Hospice, 50 Maple St., Springfield, MA 01102 or Western Mass Elder Care, 4 Valley Mill Road, Holyoke, MA 01040.
