Obituary

Tadeusz W. “Teddy” Lak, 92, a lifelong Indian Orchard resident, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 9, 2019.  Son of the late Michael and Agnes (Brelecka) Lak, he was a graduate of the former Springfield Technical High School and attended AIC.  He had a love of learning and took many continuing education courses at STCC. Teddy proudly served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired as a chemical technician at Monsanto Chemical Co after 39 years of service.  Teddy was a talented wood worker and an avid fisherman.  His favorite times were spent fishing on Lake Champlain and on trips to the casino with family and friends.  He was a devout communicant of Immaculate Conception Church.

Teddy is survived by two daughters Barbara Stadnicki and her husband Stanley and Kathleen Tereso and his daughter-in-law Amy Braveman.  He also leaves his 5 grandchildren Laura, Lisa, Steven, Jennifer and Stefanie as well as 4 great-grandchildren Samuel, Sydni, Conor and Colin.  Sadly he was predeceased by his wife Lena (Mamicki) Lak in 2011 and his son Walter Lak. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
