Michael 'Uncle Mickey' Jaciow

Michael P. Uncle Mickey Jaciow 96, of Ludlow, a member of the Greatest Generation died Friday April 12, 2013 in Baystate Medical Center. Born in Ludlow, MA February 25, 1917 son of the late Szymek and Mary (Bozik) Jaciow. Educated in local schools, he proudly served his country during World War II as a Staff Sergeant with the 321st Fighter Control Squadron with the Army of the United States. Mickey was an engineer with Scott Graphics with many years of service. He also worked in the package store of Randall’s Farm for over 50 years, and was know affectionately as Uncle Mickey to the staff and customers. An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of Ludlow Country Club. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ida M. (Bracci) Jaciow, His son Doug Jaciow and his wife Lin of Southampton, MA Susan Jaciow Hogan and her husband Michael Hogan, Carol Jaciow Gonyea and her husband Billy of Monson, MA and Tina Jaciow Genza and her husband Chuck of Wilbraham, MA Cherished grandfather of Brent, Jessica, Cody, Ashley and Luke. Also survived by extended family members and friends.
