Obituary

Matthew E. Lysik 21 of East St. Ludlow died Wednesday October 24, 2007 from injuries received in an automobile accident. Born in Springfield, MA February 5, 1986 he was the son of Eleanor Lysik. Matt was educated in local schools and was a Communicant of Christ the King Church where he proudly served his Lord as an altar server. Matt was active in many sports, having played soccer, football and was a wrestler in youth programs. A lover of the great outdoors, he loved fishing and archery, and snow mobiles, he also loved to play the guitar. He also loved to work on cars, and for that mater anything mechanical. He truly found a niche working as a craftsman restoring carriages, sleighs, and wagons. He is survived by his loving mother Eleanor Lysik, his half brothers Justin Curtis of Monson and Jeremy Curtis of Springfield. His God Parents who are also his Uncle and Aunt Kenneth & Deborah Lysik of Hopkinton, MA and his Uncle and Aunt Michael & Mary Lysik of Yorba Linda, CA and his Aunt and Uncle Kathleen & Stephen Houle of Ludlow. His great aunt Amelia Taylor of Ludlow, a great aunt and uncle Florence and Lloyd Vaudrin of Springfield, and a great aunt Melanie Dusza of West Warren. Matthew also is survived by a special friend Leon Demers and his family, who will long be remembered by his family for always being there for Matt. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services celebrating Matthew’s life will be Tuesday October 30, 2007 family and friends gathering at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow at 8:45 AM with a procession lead by a horse drwan hearse to Christ the King Church 41 Warsaw Avenue Ludlow, MA for a 10 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial. Rites of committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Springfield, MA
