Lucien L. Bourbeau

Lucien L. Bourbeau passed away on July 19, 2011 at the age of 84. He was born October 3, 1926 in Ludlow, Massachusetts. He was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist for many years. Mr. Bourbeau was a graduate from Cathedral High School in 1943, honorably discharged from the army in 1946 and graduated from St. Michael’s College in 1950. Mr. Bourbeau operated an insurance agency, Bourbeau & Hinch, in Hampden, Mass for over 25 years. He was involved as the Recreation Commissioner of Hampden’s baseball program for over 10 years. Mr. Bourbeau with several other senior citizens founded the Senior League in the Springfield area over 15 years ago. They are known as the Relics. Over 200 players participated last year. In between his love for sports he spent his time gardening and catching up with his St. Michael’s friends. Mr. Bourbeau leaves behind three sons, Peter and his wife, Manuela; Richard and his wife, Diane and Paul and his wife, Pamela. There are 6 grandchildren Julie, Sarah, Lelah, Jason, Mark and Daniel along with two great-grandchildren, Melissa and David.
