TO: Priscilla, Kathy, Betsey I was stunned when Sally told me about your Mother. My stomach and heart felt like they had a big hole in them. Your Mom took me under her wings when I first started working for Tudor in tobacco (I was 15). No machines for us. It was awful, especially when you stuck that big needle in your finger. Your Mom always took me to West Hartford, the 5 and 10 cent store in Simsbury, to Westfield or other little trips.I will always have the memories of square dances, our families picking blueberries up at Enders, all of us sitting in the yard of your little house in West Granby, and me playing with Cilla's hair. These things will always have a special place in heart, because she was a special person in my life. It is hard to let go of our Mothers for some reason, but I think we will see our Mothers again some day. I will be thinking of you all and stay close to each other. Love to all, Jean (Garrity) Cotton and Bob too.
