I am so sorry I cannot be with you all at this time. Health problems have me in Birmingham, Alabama. Bennie was always special to all of our family. I used to go see him in the nursing home in Lecompte when he was there. He and Monkey were closer than cousins to Daddy and all his sisters, they felt like she was more of a sister. Love to all. Jerry Ann

I am so sorry to hear that Mr. Bennie has passed away. I took painting classes with Ms. Monkey and I loved her and Mr. Bennie so much. They were such wonderful, warm people and I think of them often. Everytime I pick up a paintbrush, I hear Ms. Monkey still teaching me or see her chewing on her paintbrush, which looked like a beaver ate on it. Mr. Bennie would sing all the time. That little house was filled with love. I know that all of you will carry this love on in your hearts. My thoughts and prayers all with you all.
