YVONNE R. CHAPMAN
1939-2008
LUDLOW – Yvonne R. (Mendes) Chapman 69 of Ludlow died Saturday August 9, 2008 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Ludlow March 28, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Diolinda (Pereira) Mendes. A Communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Yvonne was a member of the Ludlow Senior Center, the Gremio Lusitano Club, and a proud member of the Sewing Club. Yvonne had worked for the Town of Ludlow School Department for many years as a secretary. She was the widow of Arthur E. Chapman who died April 17, 2005. She is survived by her children, Danny Chapman and his wife Karen Chapman of Ludlow, Linda Collette and her husband Kevin Collette of Ludlow and Kelley Tessicini and her husband Bill Tessicini of Agawam. Sister of Minnie DaSilva and her husband Manuel DaSilva , Alice Jorge, and Beatrice Jorge and her husband Retire Town of Ludlow Police Chief John R.Jorge. Loving grandmother of Katelyn and Ryan Collette and Sarah and Anthony Tessicini. Yvonne is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Service Information

Funeral services celebrating her life will be Tuesday August 12, 2008, family and friends are asked to join at St. Mary of the Assumption Church 465 East St. Ludlow for a 10 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial. Rites of Committal will follow in Island Pond Cemetery.

To all of Yvonne's Family, I am a niece of Uncle Tootie and Auntie Dorothy. Daughter of Al and Georgia Colella. I am very sorry of you're loss, she is a great lady! You're name was a household word in our family gatherings, always bringing such great laughter from Uncle Tootie, Auntie Dorothy, Art and Yvonne Chapman!
