Bill Dupuis 82, of Ocala, passed away at the Legacy House on April 16, 2010, after a brief battle with stomach cancer. He was born on August 19, 1927 in Springfield, Massachusetts, to William and Lena Dupuis. Bill was educated in the Westfield Schools and served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1945. Bill had a long and successful career in Quality Control with Spaulding Sporting Goods in Chicopee, Massachusetts, serving as the president of their union, Local # 269 of OPEIU, and retiring in 1991. He had a love of ballroom dancing, a hobby while led to his meeting Jennie Binette, whom he married in 1981. Bill and Jennie spent many happy years dancing and travelling, later settling down in Ocala, Florida. Bill loved serving people and was still working in the deli department at Winn-Dixie Grocery Stores at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Jennie, children , Linda Dupuis, Donna Boyer, Barry Dupuis, Jo-Ann Gagnon, Tracy Dupuis, and Gwyn Levesque; as well as stepsons, Paul, Bruce, Carl, Alan, and Mark Binette; twenty grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
