William B. Hatch Sr., 71, of Ludlow, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Born in Greenfield, MA on March 26, 1953, he was the son of the late Francis and Dorothy (Bogue) Hatch. A 1972 graduate of Ludlow High School, Bill proudly served his country as a Military Police officer in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He later worked in sales for NAPA Auto Parts for many years. Bill was a member of First Church in Ludlow. He was an avid bowler and loved spending the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays with family and friends.
Bill leaves his children William Hatch Jr. (Danielle) and Melissa Greene (Jay); his brother Richard Hatch and his sisters Barbara Wisner and Linda Hatch. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren Justin, Tanya, Ryann, Clay and Travis, as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Bill is reunited in heaven with his wife of 42 years Theresa who predeceased him in 2021.
A memorial service for Bill will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at First Church in Ludlow, 851 Center St., Ludlow, MA. Visiting hours at the church will precede the service from 9:30-11:00 AM. Rites of Committal with Military honors will follow at 3:00 PM at the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Main St., Agawam, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104 or www.shrinerschildrens.org or the American Kidney Fund at give.kidneyfund.org.
