Obituary

 

Walter Konieczny, 99, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 16, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Wilbraham, MA on December 24, 1919, he was the son of the late Peter and Katherine (Harezga) Konieczny.  Educated in Ludlow schools, he worked in the press room and fire department of Monsanto Chemical Co for many years. Walter loved his family and all things Polish

Walter is survived by his son Gerald Konezny and his wife Lorraine of Shoreham, NY, two daughters Christine Blodgett and her husband Jay of Chester, VT and Joanne Sharpe and her husband Kenneth of Springfield and his sister Lucy Konieczny of Ludlow.  He also leaves his beloved grandchildren Scott Konezny and his wife Lauren, Tom Blodgett and his wife Linzi, Courtney Blodgett,  Jack, Emme and Katie Sharpe.  Sadly he was predeceased by his wife Angela Konieczny in 2012.

Dear Konieczny Family......Our deepest sympathy over the loss of your Dad. Mr. K was such a great guy.....loved knowing him as I grew up!!!
