Obituary

Walter J. Sajdak Jr., 66, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12, 2016. Son of Eleanor (Casagranda) Sajdak and the late Walter Sajdak Sr., he was born August 7, 1949 in Springfield, MA. A lifelong town resident, Walter graduated from Ludlow High School. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as an Electronics Technician in the U. S. Navy. Upon his return he worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years.

Walter was an avid sports lover and outdoorsman. He played on Ludlow High Schools first varsity hockey team under coach Dick Malek. He also coached youth baseball and hockey for many years. Walter loved fishing , boating and being outdoors on the water. He was a lifelong sports fan, especially the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins.

In addition to his mother, Walter is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Alison (Glen) Sajdak of Ludlow; two sons Jonathan S. Sajdak of Phoenix, AZ and Michael V. Sajdak of Ludlow; two sisters Christine Mack and her husband Michael of Tampa, FL and Janice Sajdak and her husband Philip Mossbarger of Austin, TX; his uncle Bronislaw Sajdak of Wilbraham and his aunt Helen Belanger and her husband Victor of Indian Orchard along with many loving cousins.

Services celebrating Walters life, concluding with Military Honors, will be held Monday, July 18, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St. Ludlow, MA. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family.
