Vivian (Martin) Talbot, 94, of Ludlow passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Born August 5, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Ida (Robideau) Martin.
Vivian was a lifelong resident of Ludlow. Voted best dressed in her class, she was a 1938 graduate of Ludlow High School. She was quoted as saying Style is the dress of thought. She married Joseph Talbot on August 31, 1940; together they shared nearly 50 years. Vivian worked as a Librarian at the Hubbard Memorial Library. She also worked for over 20 years at the Wall Street Journal in Chicopee. Vivian was a devoted communicant of the Parish Community of St. Elizabeth and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne.
Vivians sense of style and her love of people and animals were evident throughout her life. She was a wonderful cook who loved entertaining family and friends. Her caring spirit was boundless as she spent many years caring for her beloved husband and many family members in their later years. That love and caring was passed on to her family as her son Martin retired several years ago to care for Vivian.
Vivian is survived by her sons Martin Talbot and Mark E. Talbot and his wife Julia, both of Ludlow. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Sadly she was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Joseph in 1990 and her sisters Anita Martin Mattot and Edna Martin Palmer.
Vivians family would like to thank the staff at Baystate Medical Center and Life Care Center of Wilbraham for the wonderful care given to Vivian over the past weeks.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrating Vivians life will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Parish Community of St. Elizabeth, Hubbard St, Ludlow, MA.
Burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery will be on Monday, August 31, 2015, on what would have been Vivian and Josephs 75th Wedding Anniversary

Vivian was my Great Aunt , She cared for my Grandfather Albert Talbot when he was sick with cancer !! She was an Amazing, Caring, Generous Soul and her door was always open for her Family!! God gained another Angel in Heaven the day he called You home !! I Love ❤️ You Aunt Viv!!XOXO
Just receive notice from Marty that his Mom passed away 2 years ago. We have been permanent now in Vero Beach Florida since 2004' I will always remember Aunt Vivian as she took loving care of her own sisters, her brother in law Albert, Grandmother Talbot and the last brother in law Louie. Louie was a twin to Vivian's husband Joseph . In addition to her always being remembered as a 'caregiver' she was a terrific cook! Love always Vivian , you were a fantastic asset to all the Martin and Talbot families
