Victorina Rose Robbins (nee Ventura), lovingly known as Vicki, passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on September 6, 2024. The youngest of six girls, she was born at home in Ludlow on December 19, 1927. She lived a life marked by dedication to her community and profound love for her family. Vicki attended Ludlow High School and went on to serve as a secretary and receptionist at Mass Mutual Insurance Co., Horseman’s Yankee Pedlar newspaper, Ludlow Boys and Girls Club and the Town of Ludlow Tax Collector’s office and Town Clerk’s office. A member of St Mary’s in Ludlow, Vicki’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She cherished moments spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought great joy and fulfillment to her life.
Vicki was preceded in death by her husband, L. Nelson Robbins Jr., her parents Joseph and Elena Ventura and her sisters Maripen (Penny) Abrahamson, Elizabeth (Betty) Marini, Josephine Cantalini, Eva Pyott and Jeanette Ventura.
She is survived by her loving daughters Barbara Bush of Ludlow, Mona Hottin (William) of Monson, Eva Robbins-Davies (Todd) of Monson and Melanie Hopkins (Carl) of Belchertown.
Visiting hours for Vicki will be Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 9:30-11:00 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA with a funeral home service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Island Pond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Vicki’s memory may be made to Rays of Hope, Baystate Health Foundation, 280 Chestnut St., Springfield, MA 01199.
