Theresa M. “Peggy” (Counter) Manzi, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. Daughter of the late Mary (Carabine) Counter, she was born in Holyoke on May 27, 1935. Peggy was a proud graduate of Holy Rosary School in Holyoke. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Parish in Ludlow. Peggy’s greatest joy was time spent celebrating and cooking for the family and friends she loved so dearly.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Frank A. Manzi of Ludlow; two daughters Rosemary Jorge and her husband David of Ludlow; Toniann Glaser and her husband Jay of Holyoke and a sister Eileen Boisselle of Fairview. She also leaves her 2 beloved grandsons Nicholas and Anthony Jorge, several sisters and brothers-in law, many nieces, nephews and friends. Sadly, in addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her brothers Bernie and Joe Counter.
Peggy’s family would like to thank the staff at Life Care Center of Wilbraham for their exceptional care of our wife and Mom.
Visiting hours for Peggy will be Monday, March 25, 2019 from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Tinkham Rd, Springfield, MA.
