Theresa L. (Foisy) Hatch

Theresa L. (Foisy) Hatch, 64, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 after a long illness, surrounded by family.  Daughter of the late Arthur and Lucille (Beturne) Foisy, she was born in Springfield on July 11, 1957. A 1976 graduate of the High School of Commerce, Theresa worked for American Saw/Lenox for over 20 years.  She later worked at the Pride Truck Stop before retiring.  She was a member of First Church in Ludlow and sang in the choir for many years. She was a lifelong bowler/coach and spent time with both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.  Theresa had an infectious laugh and smile.  She made many friends throughout her life, considering many of them family.

Theresa leaves behind her beloved husband of 42 years William Hatch; her son William Hatch Jr. (Danielle); her daughter Melissa Greene; her brothers Richard Foisy (Lynn); Michael Foisy (Mary); her sisters Maggie Sullivan (Steve) and Mary Sanborn.  She also leaves her beloved grandchildren Justin, Tanya, Ryann and Clay as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

Theresa’s family would like to thank her nurse Shana and aide Pam from Beacon Hospice for their care and compassion.

A memorial service for Theresa will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 3:00 PM at First Church in Ludlow, 851 Center St., Ludlow, MA.  Visiting hours at the church will precede the service from 2:00-3:00 PM.  A reception in the church hall will follow the service. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Theresa’s memory may be made to AMF Chicopee Youth Scholarship, c/o Heather Guzman, 16 Griswold Circle, Granby, MA 01033.
