Theodore J. Wisniowski, 96, of Ludlow entered eternal life on Thursday, August 29, 2019. Born in Ludlow on August 20, 1923, he was the son of the late Walter and Victoria (Przybycien) Wisniowski. Ted was a communicant of Christ the King Church and participated in weekly Eucharistic Adoration at the Our Lady of Mercy Chapel with his wife Louise. He was a member of the Parish Council and officer of the Men’s Guild. An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the European theatre in France and Germany with the 3rd Infantry Regiment. Educated at Immaculate Conception and Springfield schools, he went on the University of Connecticut and the Randall Art School. With over 45 years of diversified engineering experience he worked as a design draftsman, technical illustrator, estimator, model maker and industrial photographer at Monsanto Chemical, United Technologies, Wang, Morgan Construction and Holyoke Valve. He was a member of the Polish American Citizens’ Club, the Wilbraham Camera Club and served as president of the Monsanto and Belchertown Camera Clubs. He had a love for animals, especially dogs. Along with his dog Fritz, he was a volunteer on a weekly basis at the Chicopee Nursing Home and Holyoke Soldier’s Home. Ted had 4 enduring hobbies: model airplane building; water-color painting, clay sculpture and photography. His biggest joy and love was photography. As an avid amateur photographer he and Louise would travel to all regions of New England to capture its natural landscape and seaside beauty.
Ted is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Louise (Maliga) Wisniowski. Sadly he was predeceased by his brother George Wisniowski.
Funeral services for Ted will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 10:15 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Christ the King Church. Rites of Committal with Military Honors will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be precede the service from 9:00-10:15 AM. Memorial donations may be made to Christ the King Church- Adoration Chapel.
