Suzanne Sue Yvonne (Arel) Chrusciel, 70 died Saturday, June 21, 2014. She was born to the late Kenneth Arel and Dorothy (Fitzgerald) Arel on April 28 1944.
Sue graduated from high school in Williamsburg, MA and received her college degree from Indiana Vocational Technical School. She married her husband Edward Chrusciel on October 12, 1973.
Sue retired from Greater Springfield Senior Services in February, 2014 after over 20 years of devoted service. She loved volunteering her time to help others and spending time with her family, her horses Misty and Millie and her dogs Kimberly and Annie. In her free time, she became an accomplished oil painter and horseback rider. Sue was an amazing cook. Sue valued everyone she met, had an unmatched capacity for compassion and unconditional love and gave of herself at every opportunity.
Sue is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years Edward Chrusciel and her two cherished sons, Kenneth (Romi) Plath of Urbana, IN and Paul (Tracy) Plath of El Paso, TX. She also leaves her adored grandchildren Tori Plath, Selena Plath, Paige Plath, Paul Plath Jr., Sara (Snow) Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Tim Anderson and her great-grandson Leon Coppes. Sue is also survived by her close mother-in-law Sophia Chrusciel and hr dear cousins Sheila and Cindy Reardon.
The family wishes to thank Apex Healthcare Services, Bay State VNAH Palliative Care , Lincare , the ALS Foundation and all their wonderful employees as well as the many friends who visited, called on or sent cards to Sue. You were all precious to her!

I feel most honored to have known and shared a love of animals with Sue. She taught me so much about horses and how truly special they are. The picture she painted of my animals will always be treasured. I will miss her a lot.

Funeral services celebrating Sues life will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 7:00 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA.
Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family
