Stephen M. Charpentier, 71, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Born in Springfield on October 9, 1953, he was the son of the late Robert Charpentier Sr. and Jane (Morrissey) Charpentier. A graduate of Ludlow High School, Stephen worked as a machinist for Tell Tool Corporation for 47 years.
Stephen is survived by his wife of 47 years Elizabeth (O’Conner) Charpentier; his daughter Erin Charpentier (Travis); his sons Ryan and Peter Charpentier (Stacey); his brothers Robert Charpentier Jr and Roger Charpentier (Debra) and his sister Ellen Garrow (Frank). He also leaves his grandchildren Oliver and Benjamin. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Thomas Charpentier.
Visiting hours for Stephen will be Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA, Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Stephen was an usher in my wedding and I remember the morning I was getting married and the flowers hadn’t arrived. Stephen jumped in his car and drove to the floors and pick them up in person. He was such a beautiful person a wonderful husband and father and a friend my heart is broken.
