Stanley R. Mastalerz, 84, of Ludlow passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018. Born in Palmer, MA on May 10, 1934, he was the son of the late John and Frances (Milos) Mastalerz. He attended Palmer schools and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1952. Stanley proudly served aboard the U.S.S. Compton DD 705 during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1956 as a Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class. Stanley worked for the wire mill in Palmer and for Rexnord Corp of Spfld for 25 years. He was a communicant of Christ the King Church, a member of the Men’s Guild, a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. He was also a division leader of the Perpetual Adoration Chapel for 21 years.
Stanley is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years Jeannette Mastalerz of Ludlow; his children Susan Lesniak (Michael) of Granby, Sandra Colby (Mark) of Greenfield, Sheila Whelan of Webster, Sharon Bourdeau (Gary) of Schodack, NY, Sally Gwiazdowski (John) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Shirley Connors (Kevin) of Ware, Stanley of Seattle, WA and Steven of Ludlow. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren Christopher, Michael, Nick, Stephen, Rachel, Matthew, Juliana, Kayla, Andrew, Lucas, Katy, Joe, Megan, Mike, Kevin and Suzie as well as his great-grandchildren Ethan, Samantha, Jocelyn, Angelica, Harvey and Grayson. He was predeceased by his siblings Joseph, Rudolph, Stanley, Matthew, Thaddeus, Edwin, John, Caroline, Mary, Blanche, Jane, Henrietta, Helen and Regina.

Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
Funeral Services celebrating Stanley’s life will be held Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 8:45 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church, Warsaw Ave, Ludlow, MA. Rites of Committal with Military Honors will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Bondsville, MA.
