Shawn Santos, 49, of Ludlow passed away on Wednesday, July 23. 2025. Son of Jorge and Vickie (Focosi) Santos, he was born in Springfield on June 17, 1976. A resident of Ludlow, Shawn was a graduate of Ludlow High School. He worked in the UMass Amherst maintenance department for many years and most recently as a truck driver for Ludlow Construction Co. A talented guitar player, he enjoyed playing for parties and was part of the family band New Idea.
In addition to his parents, Shawn is survived by his daughter Alana Santos whom he loved very much; his sister Sheri (Santos)and her husband Paulo Fragoso. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Shawn was predeceased by his grandparents Joseph George and Hermine (Staudinger) Focosi and Jose Antonio and Aurinda (Dias) Dos Santos, as well as his uncles Joao, Antonio and Andre Santos and his aunt Florinda Chaves,
Visiting hours for Shawn will be Friday, August 1, 2025 from 9:00-10:15AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St. Ludlow, MA, followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church.

It is with great sadness I write this! My condolences to Mr. And Mrs Santos and his sister Sheri and husband. I now pray for his beautiful daughter Alana! She is far to young to loose her dad and will forever be changed! I pray God is holding Shawn tight and Shawn will always watch Alana. Shawn was a good person and loved Alana. R.I.P.
