SEBASTIAN J. PEREIRA
1930-2008
LUDLOW- Sebastian Cheb J. Pereira 78 of Goddu St. Ludlow, MA and of Wells Beach, ME died Christmas Day at his home. Born in Ludlow March 24, 1930 he was the son of the late Ceasar and Maria (Pereira) Pereira. An Army Veteran of WWII and the Korean War, he attained the Rank of Private serving with Company C 73 Rd Heavy Tank Battalion. Cheb had worked for the Springfield Armory, and then for Monsanto Chemical Company for over 20 years. He later worked for the Town of Ludlow School Department as a maintenance worker. He was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, and a member of the Gremio Lusitano Club. Cheb loved spending time with his family, he will long be remembered for watching his grandchildren playing sports, especially soccer and baseball it was rare that he missed one of their games.He was also an avid Sunday & Monday Night Football Fan, his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Indians. He also loved his dogs and horses. Was noted for his dance steps and to keep a careful eye on the stock market, and spending his summers at Hampton Beach and Wells Beach. He is survived by his wife Eileen (Williamson) Pereira, his son Scott J. Pereira of Ludlow, his daughter Kelly Ann Hubacz and her husband Andrew of Burrville, RI his three cherished grandchildren Lane and Ashley Hubacz and Tyler Pereira. He is also survived by his three sisters in law who he called his sisters, Lorraine Ney, Alice Costa, and Joyce Gregoire. Sadly he was predeceased by his siblings Antonio Pereira and Amelia Silvia.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be Tuesday December 30, 2008 at 8:45 AM from the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Church at 10 AM Msgr. Homer P. Gosselin will preside. Rites of Committal will follow with Military Honors in Island Pond Cemetery.
