Ruth M. (Clifford) Bousquet, 94, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017. Ruth was the daughter of Owen and Lillian (Tetrault) Clifford and was born August 3, 1923. She was raised and educated in Ludlow, MA where she resided with her husband Rene and children. In 1980 she and her husband moved to Belchertown. Ruth received a special commendation from the U.S. government for her work on the Manhattan Project at Chapman Valve during World War II. She was also a member of the “Chapman Group” of survivors who worked on the Manhattan Project seeking attention from government agencies relative to the many health issues that resulted from the working conditions in the various plants during World War II. She loved her parish of St. Elizabeth (St. John the Baptist) in Ludlow; where she was active for many years.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 66 years Rene, her brothers Donald, Roy, Owen and his wife Kathleen; her sisters Gertrude Mortimer and her husband Thomas and Lillian Jacquinet and her husband John.
Ruth is survived by her loving family, son David Bousquet and his wife Patricia; daughters Lillian Bousquet and Diane Moreno and her husband Jesse; 3 grandsons Joseph and Callan Bousquet, Sean and Theresa Forbes, Andrew and Shannon Forbes; 7 great-grandchildren: Sabrina Toscano, Brayden and Brett Bousquet, Connor, Hunter, Harrison and Delaney Forbes. Ruth is also survived by sisters-in-law Anita and Ginny Clifford and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ruth was very blessed to have had such generous and loving friends and family. We especially wish to thank her caregivers of many years both physically and spiritually, and the Wingate of South Hadley staff of East 2.
I will miss you everyday grandma. Rest easy now. Thank you for always being there for all of us. The lessons you have taught will be paid forward to our children. Give gramps a squeeze from me. Until we meet again, I love you. Love always. Sean
My deepest sympathy to all of you. Your mother was a woman of great presence and character. She was beautiful on the outside AND on the inside. I will always cherish the many, many times I spent in her Ludlow home. May you forever smile when you think of your mom.

Visiting hours will be Friday, December 22, 2017 from 8:00-9:30 AM at the at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish, Hubbard St, Ludlow, MA. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Berkshire Ave, Springfield, MA.
