Ronald Douville passed away at the age of 84 on November 15th, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born on Christmas day, 1936 in North Conway, NH. Ron is predeceased by his parents Romeo Douville and Dorothy (Welch) Douville. Ron was also predeceased by his 2 sons; Mark in 2006; and Kevin in 2020.
Ron leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years Dolores (Martins) Douville; his sons Todd Douville and his wife Deana; James Douville and his wife Donna; and his sister Deanna Martin. Ron also leaves behind his 2 beloved grandsons: Adam and his fiancée Samantha; Zachary and his partner Hayley; and Kevin’s partner Karen Mercier as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ron graduated from Ludlow High School in 1956, and shortly after, attended Springfield College before proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army. Ron started his career in 1959 with RM Sullivan Transportation where he later retired as the VP of Sales and Marketing in 2004.
Ron was an avid skier and loved doing so with family and friends at Wildcat Mountain, NH, and Whistler/Blackcomb, British Columbia, Canada. Ron was also a passionate fly fisherman while traveling the world with his wife, Dolores. Ron’s favorite times were spent relaxing and entertaining family and friends at their New Hampshire home in Tamworth, NH.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, November 21, 2021, from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA. A funeral home service for Ron will be held Monday, November 22, 2021, at 11:00 AM, followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s name will go to Mark Douville Charitable Fund at Community Foundation at 333 Bridge Street, Springfield, MA 0110.
