Obituary

Ronald H. Wickman 68 of Ludlow died Friday January 13 at home. Born in Springfield, MA February 8, 1943 son of the late Howard and Josephine K. (Bryans) Wickman. Educated in local schools he proudly served his Country during the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Marine Corps. he had worked for Monsanto Chemical Co., and was a Jockey’s agent, and a painter. He was a member of the Ludlow Fish and Game Club, and a Life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was an avid golfer, and the worlds greatest handicapper, Ron loved horse racing and cherished his times at Saratoga. He is survived by his children, Mark Wickman of Belchertown, Rachel Bly of Three Rivers and a step daughter Jessica Eurkus of Palmer. Also survived by his aunt Charlotte B. Sunter. Cherished grandfather of Logan, Megan and Ethan. Also survived by extended family members and friends.

Funeral Services Celebrating his life will be Tuesday January 17 at 10 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow Rites of Committal with Military Honors will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.

It is so sad to lose my cousin - we had so many great times together as children and teens - as well as family events and activities all our lives. Ron was always the outgoing, friendly social guy, while I just tried to learn from him. Such a sad time for me, Marje and our family.
