Roland V. LaPlante 45 of West Springfield died Sunday July 17 in Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield November 4, 1965 son of the late Floyd and Evelyn (Golba) LaPlante. Roland had worked for Avery-Dennison Company. He is survived by a son Noah LaPlante of Ocala, FL, His brothers Floyd LaPlante and his wife Linda, Roy LaPlante, Michael LaPlante and his wife Annie, and Glenn LaPlante and his wife Susan all of Chicopee. His sisters Christine Rhodes and her husband John of Chicopee and Terry Rodrigues and her husband Victor of Ludlow. Also survived by several nieces and nephews extended family members and friends.

Funeral Services Celebrating his life will be Wednesday July 20 with family and friends gathering at 8:15 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow with a funeral procession leaving at 9 AM for St. Rose de Lima Church in the Aldenville section of Chicopee, where a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 AM. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery.
