Roger L. Gagnon, 68, of Chicopee, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Born in Holyoke, MA on May 26, 1952, he was the son of the late Richard and Alice (Angers) Gagnon. Educated at Precious Blood Catholic HS, Roger worked as a systems analyst. He had a Masters in Accounting from WNEC and majored in math and economics at UMASS. He sang karokee and danced. He had weekly visits with Lenny and Jeff where they played card games and pool at family gatherings.
Roger is survived by his 2 sons Jacob Gagnon of Shrewsbury, MA and Nathan Gagnon and his wife Paula of Gaithersburg, MD; two brothers Leonard Gagnon and wife Mary of Ludlow and Raymond Gagnon and wife Joan of Southampton, MA. He is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services for Roger will be Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 10:15 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by burial in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Chicopee, MA. Visiting hours at the funeral home will precede the service from 9:00-10:15 AM. Masks, social distancing and all state gathering restrictions will be adhered to. I can still picture Uncle Roger singing karaoke; it brought him so much joy and it was entertaining to watch him. I will never forget the time I went to a Prince concert with him. Of course he was the ideal person to go with; we had so much fun! Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who loved Uncle Roger, especially for Nathan and Jacob. He will be missed.
We will always remember our Sunday night card games - you always knew the score before we did.
