Richard M. Lynch, 83, of Ludlow, passed away surrounded by the profound love of his family at home November 18, 2024, just the way he wished. Son of the late Daniel and Corrine “Rita” Lynch, he was born in Springfield on July 3, 1941 and raised with his siblings Barbara, Tom, Steve and their predeceased sister Ruth. Educated in West Springfield, he went on to work as a newspaper pressman for Dow Jones/Wall Street Journal in Chicopee until retirement. A dedicated member of the Catholic Church, he moved through life with his love of God guiding him.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years Jill (Rodimon) Lynch; their adoring children Mark, Brian and Karen; grandchildren Ashley (Will), Marisa (Justin) and great-grandchildren Paighton and Roman.
Richard’s favorite color was blue. He loved trains, golfing, his dog Lily, birds and being home. Most of all, he loved his family. To know Richard was to love Richard and be loved by him.
Visiting hours for Richard will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2024 from 9:00-9:45 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish, Hubbard St. Ludlow, MA. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM. It is encouraged to wear something blue. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family, Richard’s family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Boston Children’s Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave, Boston, MA 02115 or www.childrenshospital.orgon behalf of Roman Milos.
