Richard J. Ziemba, 74, of Ludlow, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019. Son of the late Walter and Laura (Bobowiec) Ziemba, he was born in Ludlow on July 16, 1944. A graduate of Cathedral High School, Richard proudly served as a member of the U.S. Navy, aboard the USS O’Bannion during the Vietnam War. He worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 40 years. Richard was a devout communicant of Christ the King Church.
Richard is survived by his brother Robert Ziemba of Southwick, his nephew Mark and nieces Allison, Alyssa and Monica. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Nancy Giza and niece Lora Jo Giza-Bilodeau.
Richard was a delightful guy. We will miss him at church and seeing him around town. His soul is in our prayers.
Our coldolences to all Richard’s relatives, and friends. Richard’s life was lived always with God in mind. We’ll miss you here on earth, Richard, with the hope of seeing you again in Heaven.
Remembering all the good times when I was a child when Uncle Rich took us to many fun places with my Grandmother. Sending love and prayers to family.

Family and friends are asked to gather for a funeral Mass for Richard on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church, Warsaw Ave., Ludlow, MA.
Rites of Committal with Military Honors will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Berkshire Ave., Springfield, MA.
