A graduate of Springfield Trade High School, Richard was a Korean War combat veteran.  He worked at Monsanto as an area mechanic, retiring with more than 30 years of service.

Richard is survived by the family he cherished, his wife of 64 years Rose Boucher and his son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Lorraine Boucher, all of Ludlow.  “Boppa” will be sadly missed by his grandsons Matthew of Lancaster, CA; Ryan of Ludlow, MA and granddaughter Carolyn of Feeding Hills, MA.  He will also be remembers fondly by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Joanne Perkowski of FL as well as several nieces and nephews

Richard will be well remembered as someone who loved animals, enjoying daily visits with from his buddy Cooper, and as a “jack-of-all-trades”, skilled at mechanics, welding, carpentry and gardening, electrical and plumbing. “You name it, he could do it” will be said by all who knew him.
