Obituary

Richard A. Bouchard, 69, of Wilbraham passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Born July 28, 1947 in Springfield, MA, he was the son of the late Paul A and Julia (Ihrig) Bouchard.  Richard was a graduate of Springfield Trade High School.  He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Richard saw duty aboard the U.S.S. Essex CVS9 and served as a ceremonial guard for President Lyndon B. Johnson. He worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator for area construction companies.

 

Richard is survived by his loving wife Joyce (Mitchell) Bouchard, two sons Richard A. Bouchard Jr. (Rebecca) and William D, Bouchard all of Wilbraham; his daughter Jacqulyn Miarecki (Gary) of Ware, MA and his brother Donald Bouchard (Diane) of Hampden. He also leaves his beloved grandsons Gavin and Cameron, several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Sadly he was predecease by his brother Paul in 2015
