Phyllis (Ricardi) Pisarczyk, 80, of Ludlow passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Ludlow, April 16, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Rico and Mary (Barszcz) Ricardi.
A lifelong Ludlow resident, Phyllis was a talented seamstress and dressmaker. She donated her custom sewn purses to charity where they were raffled off to benefit people with developmental disabilities.
Along with the responsibilities of a homemaker, she also assumed the roll of caregiver for her ailing mother for over 10 years and her father -in-law for several years. She also took care of her husband Stanley during his time of illness. She was selfless in giving to friends that needed help, whether a ride to an appointment , a dress that needed to be hemmed last minute, or when baked goodies were needed for a function. No matter wife, mother, or nurse, she wore her hat well.
She was an avid Boston Red Sox and Patriots fan. She enjoyed making ceramics and hand painting her crafts. She loved Spring and having her morning coffee on the patio where she watched the birds in the garden.
She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was a communicant of Christ the King Church in Ludlow.
Phyllis is survived by two sons Gary Pisarczyk and Dr. Mark Pisarczyk and her daughter Amy Waddell and her husband Donald. She also leaves her brother William Ricardi and his wife Dorothy.
