Peggy Lou (Stevens) Kijek

Peggy Lou Kijek, 84, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2023.  A longtime Ludlow resident, Peggy was born on June 17, 1938 in Farmington, Maine, the daughter of the late Garnet Stevens and Edith (Doneker) Stevens.  Peggy was raised in Rangeley, Maine and always considered Rangeley to be home.  She shared her love of Rangeley with three generations of family and cherished the times when everyone gathered together at the lake. A graduate of the High School of Commerce, she worked at Smith & Wesson for many years before retiring.  Peggy and Tito enjoyed their annual winter escapes to Florida, even more so when they were hosting their grandchildren.

She leaves behind her daughters Lisa-Kim Gaudette and her husband Mark Gaudette of Chicopee, Lori-Ann Gallant and her partner Louis Langlois of Ludlow; her grandchildren Kristin Gagnon and her husband Eddie of Springfield, Ross Gaudette and his wife Tambria of Chicopee, Jordyn Gallant of Boston and her great-grandchildren Annabella and Eddie Gagnon of Springfield. Peggy also leaves behind her brother Willis Bean and his wife Charlene of Winslow, Maine.  She was predeceased by her husband and love of her life of 63 years, Eddie “Tito” Kijek, and her son-in-law Steve Gallant.

Calling hours for Peggy will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 2:00-3:45 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home at 64 Sewell Street, Ludlow, MA. A funeral home service will follow at 3:45 PM.  Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family.
