Pauline J. (Ricard) Monette, 83, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 24, 2016. Daughter of the late Hubert and Blanche (Brodeur) Ricard, she was born in Springfield, MA on January 14, 1933. Educated in local schools, Pauline worked alongside her late husband George at their business, Twin Typesetting.
A longtime Ludlow resident, Pauline was a devout and active communicant of St. Elizabeths Parish in Ludlow where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. Pauline also sang in the senior choir for many years before founding and directing the Heralds of the Lord folk group.
Pauline is survived by her twin daughters Deborah A. Monette and her partner Elizabeth Tingler of Springfield and Diane Lautier of Enfield, CT and a brother Roger Ricard and his wife Doris of FL. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Sadly she was predeceased by her husband George A. Monette in March, 2012 and her brother Ronald Ricard.
Paulines daughters would like to thank the staff at Baystate VNA and Hospice and East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center for their compassionate care of Pauline.
Funeral Services for Pauline will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 8:45 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeths Parish, Hubbard St, Ludlow, MA. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Chicopee, MA
