Paul M. Kania, 58, of Ludlow, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 after a valiant battle with cancer. Son of the late Anthony and Helen (Karaskiewicz) Kania, he was born in Springfield on February 3, 1965. A graduate of Ludlow High School, he was a Hazmat driver for Exxon/Mobil and Praxair, driving over 1.0 million miles. His humorous storytelling always entertained anyone he met. Paul was a lifelong communicant of Christ the King Parish and a devoted parishioner of St. Elizabeth’s Parish, both in Ludlow.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years Kim (Grosvenor) Kania and his loving daughters Elizabeth and Jennifer Kania. He also leaves his brothers Theodore Kania (Bianca); Frank Kania (Patricia); John Kania and Mitchell Kania (Susan) as well as many nieces and nephews. Paul also leaves his adored cat Lola.
Funeral services for Paul will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 8:45 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church. Burial will be in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 PM. grew up with the kania family next door growing up, always remember your pops working in the garden after he got home from work and all you guys on one occasion or another would be picking veggies, oils are you guys from the breezeway on a hot summer day and the clothesline, what a thing of the past, but, good old warm memories of days gone past, r.i.p.
