Noreen J. (Surprenant) Edgar, 69, of Tolland, CT, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025. Born in Springfield, MA on July 21, 1956, she was the daughter of the late of the late Joseph Surprenant Sr. and Elizabeth (Rivers) Surprenant. Noreen was a graduate of the former Springfield Classical High School and went on to work as an administrative assistant for Traveler’s Insurance for many years
Noreen is survived by her husband of 42 years Arthur Edgar; her children Joseph Edgar (Krista) and Dawn Williams; her brothers Richard, Glenn, Gary and Harvey Surprenant and her sisters Judy Guertin and Wendy Martin. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren Lucas and Norah, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Joseph Surprenant Jr. in 2024.
Visiting hours for Noreen will be Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 4:00-6:30 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA. A funeral home service will follow at 6:30 PM. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family. Donations in Noreen’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
