Nellie R. (Diotalevi) Trombley, age 100, of Grove St. Wilbraham died Saturday January 22 in Life Care Center of Wilbraham. Born in Wilbraham April 8, 1910 she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Teresa (Carnavaro) Diotalevi. A lifelong resident of Wilbraham, she was educated in local schools and was a Communicant of St. Cecilia’s Church. Nellie worked for Ludlow Manufacturing for over 50 years, and was active in both town and church groups. She was a longtime member of St Cecilia’s Women’s Club, and Senior Connections. Nellie was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella of Palmer, and a member of the Friends of the Wilbraham Senior Center. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, bingo and visiting the casinos. She cherished her time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Nellie was the widow of Edmond G. F. Trombley Jr. who died in 1996, and mother of the late Edmond G. F. Trombley III who died in 1961. Nellie is survived by her daughter Beverly Presz and her husband Walter of Wilbraham, 3 cherished grandchildren W. Michael Presz III and his wife Kristen, Edmond Presz and his wife Nicol, and Thomas Presz and his wife Tanya. Great-grandmother of 7, Stephanie, Katie, Eddie, Carly, Joseph, Benjamin, and Nathan. Nellie is also survived by many extended family members. Nellie’s family will truly miss her, and they appreciate the dedicated care and compassion given to them by the entire Life Care Center of Wilbraham Staff, during Nellie’s journey home.

Funeral Services Celebrating her life will be Funeral services celebrating her life will be Saturday January 29, 2011 at 9 AM from the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Cecilia’s Church 42 Main St. Wilbraham at 10 AM. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
