Marie Helene (Vallieres) Delisle

Marie H. (Vallieres) Delisle, 85, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in North Adams, MA on June 26, 1935, she was the daughter of the late J. Emile and Viola (Babeu) Vallieres.  Marie was a graduate of Drury High School and worked for many years at Smith and Wesson and J. C. Penny.  A devout communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Parish in Ludlow, she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and was blessed to be a member of the Third Order of St. Dominic Dominican Laity.

Marie is survived by her children Theresa Wentz (Patrick Bordelon) of Beaumont, TX,  Edward Wentz of North Adams, MA and Glen Wentz (Katie) of Lometa, TX.  She also leaves her five beloved grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.  Sadly she was predeceased by her husband Raymond Delisle in 2010 and her daughter-in-law Karen Wentz.

A walk through visiting hour will be held for Marie on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 9:00-10:15 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St., Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish.  Rites of Committal will be at 1:00 PM at the Mass. Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA.  Masks , social distancing and all Covid-19 gathering restrictions will be strictly adhered to.  Donations in Marie’s memory may be made to St. John the Baptist School, 217 Hubbard St., Ludlow, MA 01056 or the Dakin Humane Society, P.
