Maria F. Rodrigues

Maria F. Rodrigues, 87, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2019.  Born in Travassos da Cha, Portugal on August 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Manuel L. Pereira and Senhorinha Fernandes.  Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family.  She was a devout communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.

Maria is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years Mario Rodrigues of Ludlow, two sons Guilherme (Bill) Rodrigues and his wife Maria and Manuel Rodrigues, both of Ludlow and a daughter Rosa Santos and her husband Max of Myrtle Beach, SC, a sister Ana Goncalves and her husband Avelino of Ludlow, two sisters-in- law Lucia Fernandes of Ludlow and Judite Pereira of Portugal.  She also leaves 5 grandchildren Daniel Dias and his wife Krystyna; Kristy Destapado and her husband Hugo, Amy Fillion and her husband Todd, Tracy Rodrigues and Mario Rodrigues, as well as 7 great-grandchildren Victoria, Nathan, Noah, Tiago, Andre, Hannah and Tyler.  Sadly she was predeceased by her granddaughter Alicia Rodrigues in 2009 and her brother Manuel Fernandes in 2019.

The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff at Life Care Center of Wilbraham.

Visiting hours for Maria will be Monday, July 8, 2019 from 8:30-10:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church.  Burial will follow in Island Pond Cemetery.
